Evolution, development and natural phenomenons are central themes of the video installation,
'Something about Nature and Evolution'.
On a round surface, the drawing shows elements of
diagrams overlapping with scenes of nature,
plants and the undersea world. It also contains
related forms of evolution theory, mathematics
and astrology. All elements are placed on the
structure of a tree, depicted in different ways.
On one hand as a real tree with roots and branches,
on the other like the so called 'hillis tree',
which illustrates in a schematic way the development of life.
Starting from the center of the circle, ending up in
branch-like structures on the edges, which then
turn into the shoreline of a coast. On particular
parts of the drawing, video sequences are projected
and through crossfading of the video, some parts double themselves or disappear.
Birds fly around the roots, fish schools appear in
the treetop. Exotic plants turn into waves and the
boundaries between diagrams and real scenes
disappear. Everything influences everything and
welters in circles of water and line.
