- Das Stadtspiellabor, eine inszenierte Stufenlandschaft im Eingangsbereich des OÖ Kulturquartier,
- ist Installation und Baustellen-Spielplatz zugleich. Sind das Bauklötze oder Möbel?
Kleine und große BesucherInnen dürfen mit den Dingen des Stadtspiellabors hantieren, sie nach - Belieben anordnen, auftürmen, zu einer Stadtlandschaft arrangieren. Mit ihren künstlerischen Interventionen
- beobachtet Julia Gutweniger genau was die Menschen so tun und platziert ihre Zeichnungen ganz gezielt im
- Stadtspiellabor. Alltägliche, scheinbar nebensächliche Szenen werden in reduzierte Zeichnungen übersetzt und
- dabei nicht ohne ein Schmunzeln betrachtet. Sie zeigt auf was in der Stadt an Handlungen passiert und erfindet
- was noch fehlt. Die BesucherInnen sollen angeregt werden darüber nachzudenken was Stadt sein kann, was sie
- braucht, wem sie gehört und worauf sie auch verzichten könnte.
- The Stadtspiellabor (Play-City-Laboratory), a staged landscape in the entrance area of the OÖ Kulturquartier, is both
- an installation and a construction site playground. Are these building blocks or is it furniture? The visitors are invited
- to work with the things of the Stadtspiellabor, arrange them, pile them up, create cityscapes. With her artistic interventions,
- Julia Gutweniger observes precisely what people are doing and places her drawings in the landscape of the Stadtspiellabor.
- She looks at everyday, seemingly trivial scenes and translates
them into reduced drawings. She shows what is happening in
- the city and invents what is missing. Stimulating the visitors they ask what the city can be, what it needs, who it belongs to
- and what it could do without.
